Private vs public cloud in a managed model
Public cloud scales quickly and suits many workloads. Private and hybrid cloud are chosen by organizations that need stronger control, isolation, predictable data location, or a consistent managed model with one SLA.
When private/hybrid makes sense
- residency and tenant isolation requirements,
- critical systems with their own maintenance windows,
- need for one operator instead of many vendors,
- compliance (NIS2, DORA) tied to operations, not just a checkbox.
Managed server is not private cloud
The Business package (from €120) is a managed server offer for SMB — not full private cloud. Full private cloud and critical infrastructure are typically Professional / Enterprise with pricing after assessment — similar to enterprise providers where private cloud catalog prices start at multiples higher.
BaseCloud does not sell "cheap VPS in enterprise packaging". We sell operational responsibility: infrastructure, administration, security, and continuity — often on partner infrastructure in the EU. Engagement model: operator accountability.
